Microsoft acquires GitHub
Now we are hosting the rival of a Microsoft product on a Microsoft service.

Re: Microsoft acquires GitHub
that is not good I don't trust Microsoft the reactos developers may need to look for a new code hosting site
Re: Microsoft acquires GitHub
Microsoft can't do anything without ruining all their efforts of being "friendly and loving" to open source. Microsoft is already long aware of ReactOS presence. Nothing will change for the project and it will continue to bloom on at GitHub.MadWolf wrote:that is not good I don't trust Microsoft the reactos developers may need to look for a new code hosting site
Microsoft can't just hide "NT code" in the repository. Git isn't built that way to be fooled with.
My working rigs:
Dell Latitude E5430 on 0.4.9-vgal - i5-3340M, USB boot.
Partially working rigs:
Ryzen 7 3700X on B450 board - 0.4.14 boot via preinstall. USB broken.

Microsoft developed Git Virtual Filesystem for that specific purpose.cernodile wrote:Microsoft can't just hide "NT code" in the repository.

Can we seriously stop with all the fear-mongering? It's all conspiracy theories around this forum the last couple days.

Let's add more bu11$hit to this thread:
<tinfoil_hat>
M1cro$oft is slowly but surely preparing its New-World-Order agenda and plans to control all open-source software.
By participating to Git (for Windows) development it will add hidden features so that it will become impossible to detect the addition of unwanted code into projects to better undermine them.

Finally, influence of Microsoft's acquisition of GitHub is visible to the end users and developers!
